Global energy consumption is increasing, and at the same time, environmental impacts of all human-related operations need to be reduced.

Understanding complex systems and modern technologies is essential for designing and utilising clean and efficient energy production.

The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Energy Systems gives you a comprehensive understanding of how different, sustainable and modern energy systems work and what needs to be considered when they are designed and utilised.

In this programme, you will understand the technical requirements and limitations of the various technologies needed for modern and sustainable energy systems.

After completion of the Master’s programme, you will possess:

  • Professional skills to work as a specialist in energy technology.
  • Competence to design and analyse modern, sustainable energy systems and their integration into existing energy production and consumption systems from the technological, economic, environmental and societal perspectives.
  • Knowledge on how to apply mathematical and physical fundaments to model, solve and analyse energy technology related problems and challenges and design relevant technology, processes and systems.
  • Managerial skills to manage a team and to act as a part of the project team.
Wymagania rekrutacyjne

Na studia magisterskie mogą kandydować wszyscy, którzy ukończyli studia licencjackie lub inżynierskie (studia I stopnia), studia magisterskie lub studiują na ostatnim roku studiów I-stopnia. Studia, które planujesz powinny mieć zbliżony profil do tych obecnych lub ukończonych, ponieważ w procesie rekrutacji kluczowa jest ich zgodność programowa.

  • Wykaz punktów ECTS – osoby, które są jeszcze w trakcie studiów, muszą załączyć wypis punktów ECTS, w którym będzie wykazane, jakie przedmioty były realizowane na studiach oraz ile punktów za nie otrzymano.
  • Dyplom ukończenia studiów licencjackich lub inżynierskich – jeśli jesteś absolwentem wyższej uczelni, nie potrzebujesz wypisu, wystarczy załączyć dyplom ukończenia studiów wraz z suplementem (w języku angielskim lub oryginał z tłumaczeniem)
Wymagania odnośnie języka angielskiego

Applicants have to prove their English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or upon previous studies. Usually English language skills can be proved by the following documents: 

  • TOEFL iBT*
  • IELTS Academic
  • A Cambridge English qualification
  • Higher education degree completed in English
  • Secondary education completed in English in a country or school qualification accepted by the university
  • An English subject and grade on your secondary school leaving certificate that meet the university’s requirements
  • Other

  • Bachelor of Science in Technology or closely related to Technology 
    Completed in a University - All countries
  • Bachelor of Engineering   
    Completed in a University of Applied Sciences - EU/EEA countries and Switzerland

AND you must have completed

  • a sufficient amount of studies in Energy Technology 

The Admissions Committee for the programme decides what constitutes a sufficient number of these studies and checks the studies during the academic evaluation. 

Our graduates can work in many fields. The global energy sector is extensive and offers plenty of opportunities to work in large companies, SMEs, government institutions or NGOs.

Graduates can work as specialists in, for instance, design and product development, production and operations, management, sales and marketing, research and education, and public agencies and organisations.
