Możliwości kariery

The transition to carbon-neutral energy systems is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Renewable Energy and Electrical Power Engineering combines renewable energy technologies with modern electrical power systems to provide solutions for a sustainable, secure, and efficient energy future.

In this double degree programme, you will learn how renewable energy sources, electricity networks, energy storage, and smart technologies can be integrated into reliable energy systems. Your expertise will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy security, and accelerating the global clean energy transition.

What will you learn?

In this programme, you will gain interdisciplinary expertise in sustainable electrical and energy solutions. After completing the programme, you will be able to:

  • design and analyse renewable energy and electrical power systems;
  • evaluate the technical, economic and environmental performance of energy solutions;
  • apply advanced methods and tools to solve real-world energy challenges;
  • work effectively in international and multidisciplinary environments;
  • develop innovative solutions that support the global energy transition.

Degree structure

The programme is completed in two years (120 ECTS credits) and leads to two master's degrees.

You will spend your first year at LUT University and your second year at Leibniz University Hannover (Germany). The studies cover topics such as renewable energy systems, electrical power engineering, energy storage, power electronics, smart grids and sustainable energy technologies.

The programme combines high-quality teaching, practical applications and research-based learning in an international environment.

Wymagania rekrutacyjne

  • IELTS - 6.5

  • TOEFL - 92

Ważne wymagania

You must complete one of the following degrees:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in one of the qualifying fields. Completed at a university worldwide
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the qualifying fields. Completed at a university of applied sciences (UAS) in EU/EEA countries or Switzerland

The qualifying fields are:

  • Energy Technology
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Sustainable Sciences

To be eligible to apply to the programme, you must have completed:

  • a sufficient number of studies in electrical engineering,
    for example in electric circuits, electrical machines, and electrical power engineering
    and
  • a sufficient number of studies in energy technology,
    for example in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
Dodatkowe wymagania

Applicants complete a video interview, which is used to assess:

  • suitability
  • motivation
  • ability to complete the programme within the target timeframe

Motivation and study readiness are evaluated through questions related to the programme and relevant prior studies.

English language proficiency is further assessed based on fluency of communication and command of professional vocabulary.
