Mechanical Engineering (HEBUT double degree)
This is a double degree programme developed in cooperation with Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in China.
Students admitted to this bachelor's programme will receive a degree certificate from two universities after they have fulfilled the degree requirements of both universities. You will complete the entire degree in Lappeenranta, Finland.
Why study mechanical engineering?
LUT provides a unique opportunity to implement conventional and modern aspects of mechanical engineering for the development of futuristic and revolutionary solutions. For example, one of the department’s ongoing projects is to develop artificial intelligence for Industry 4.0 machinery. Most of your studies take place on campus during weekdays. Occasional online courses, as well as courses combining online and on-campus teaching, provide variety and flexibility to your study methods and schedule.

Note: If you choose the double degree, you will be required to study Chinese as part of your double degree program. Students must also pass a language test during their studies at LUT in order to receive a degree from Hebei University of Technology.

Świadectwo dojrzałości i świadectwo ukończenia szkoły wraz z tłumaczeniem przysięgłym – w przypadku ukończenia szkoły średniej nie potrzebujesz wypisu ocen – wystarczy, że do formularza aplikacyjnego załączysz Świadectwo dojrzałości wraz ze świadectwem ukończenia liceum (bądź technikum).
Wymagana jest zaawansowana wiedza z przedmiotów ścisłych - matematyka na poziomie rozserzonym (wymagana minimalna ocena 5); fizyka/chemia (wymagana minimalna ocena 5). Aplikacje będą oceniane indywidualnie, a pod uwagę będą brane oceny oraz wyniki matury z przedmiotów takich jak rozszerzona matematyka, fizyka lub chemia.
Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w jeden z następujących sposobów:
IELTS - 6.0 (nie mniej niż 5.5 z części writing)
TOEFL – 80 (nie mniej niż 20 z części writing). Wynik należy przesłać na uczelnię bezpośrednio z centrum egzaminacyjnego - kod uniwersytetu to 0496)
WAŻNE! Certyfikat z języka angielskiego należy przesłać wraz z formularzem zgłoszeniowym przed upływem terminu składania aplikacji.
Wymagane jest curriculum z matematyki. Dokument ten musi być wypełniony oraz podpisany przez reprezentanta szkoły. Aby znaleźć i pobrać ten dokument, należy:
Zarejestrować się na stronie internetowej Kastu;
Rozpocząć wypełnianie internetowego formularza aplikacyjnego Kastu;
Dodać co najmniej jeden program studiów licencjackich LUT University do swoich wyborów.

There is a great demand in the labour market for mechanical engineering experts.
A mechanical engineering degree opens the door to a wide range of jobs in the metal or automotive industries, for example, but also in industries related to food, health care, energy, chemicals, construction, transport, or climate change mitigation.
You can work in management and expert positions, as a design or production engineer, or in the development of consumer goods, machinery, equipment, and their parts. With a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, you can also research and develop manufacturing methods and apply them to production or simulate process or mechanical systems. It is also possible to complete a Master’s degree in business administration after the Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering to forge a career path in managerial positions in the mechanical engineering industries.
Your work may also involve training, research, and marketing, for example in industrial projects or in your own company.
