Strategic urban and regional planning is one of the most powerful tools for (re)shaping long-term development and creating the sustainable cities and regions of tomorrow.

The master’s programme offers you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of societal change and strengthen your ability to engage in complex planning processes and agendas, in collaboration with citizens and other stakeholders. It spans multiple disciplines and is designed for students seeking an interdisciplinary approach to today’s societal challenges, with a particular focus on regional development issues in European countries.

Strategic Urban and Regional Planning is a future-oriented, interdisciplinary field focused on shaping the long-term development of cities, towns, and regions. It combines spatial planning, policymaking, and sustainability. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in urban and regional planning, with a strong emphasis on strategic approaches. Core components include identifying and managing planning issues within complex social, environmental, and economic contexts. You will develop skills in conducting research, formulating strategies, and coordinating planning efforts at various societal levels.

Na studia magisterskie mogą kandydować wszyscy, którzy ukończyli studia licencjackie lub inżynierskie (studia I stopnia), studia magisterskie lub studiują na ostatnim roku studiów I-stopnia. Studia, które planujesz powinny mieć zbliżony profil do tych obecnych lub ukończonych, ponieważ w procesie rekrutacji kluczowa jest ich zgodność programowa.
- Wykaz punktów ECTS – osoby, które są jeszcze w trakcie studiów, muszą załączyć wypis punktów ECTS, w którym będzie wykazane, jakie przedmioty były realizowane na studiach oraz ile punktów za nie otrzymano.
- Dyplom ukończenia studiów licencjackich lub inżynierskich – jeśli jesteś absolwentem wyższej uczelni, nie potrzebujesz wypisu, wystarczy załączyć dyplom ukończenia studiów wraz z suplementem (oryginał z tłumaczeniem przysięgłym)
Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
- IELTS - 6.5 (minimum 5.5 z każdej części) lub
- TOEFL – 90 (w tym minimum 20 z pisania). Wynik musi zostać przesłany na uczelnię bezpośrednio z centrum egzaminacyjnego.

Selection will be based on academic merits.
Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant subject area.
This programme equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a wide range of careers related to urban and regional planning. Addressing planning challenges requires an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on insights from multiple academic fields. The programme lays a strong foundation for a career in urban and regional planning. Our graduates hold positions such as strategic planner, environmental strategist, digital strategist, planning manager, traffic planner, comprehensive planner, regional developer, planning architect, urban planning project manager, and external analyst.
You will be qualified for roles in municipalities, regional associations, county councils, government agencies, private companies, consultancies, universities, and non-profit organisations. Additionally, the programme provides eligibility for doctoral studies.
