The two-year internationally-oriented and demanding Master's degree programme centres on the student's personal and specialist development. Alongside the demanding main subject studies, the research and entrepreneurship components offer both support and a challenge, enabling students to establish themselves in the world of music with their specific individual qualities.
All orchestral instruments, piano, organ and guitar are offered as main subjects. There are programmes in conducting (wind/brass band and orchestral), music theory, and composition. The Master's programme in Vocal Studies centres on opera.
Pianists have the option of specialising in ensemble playing / chamber music / accompaniment (vocal and instrumental coaching). For ensembles, there is a Master's programme in Chamber Music. Singers have the opportunity of participating in the European Opera Academy.
Conducting research contributes to the students development into complete musicians. The research results must be as practical as possible, and be of interest to both fellow musicians and audiences.
After graduating from this Master's degree programme, you will be awarded a Master of Music certificate. This programme has been accredited with the qualification ‘good’ by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
