What is Psychology?
Psychology is the study of mind and behavior. It’s a study about people: about who we are, how we think and feel, and why we do or don't make certain decisions.
This program has a flexible and innovative curriculum that gives you the freedom to combine a major and a minor from the nine major fields of Psychology.
Build up expertise in the areas of your choice: Work and Organizational Psychology, Cognitive Neuropsychology, Economic Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Medical Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Lifespan Psychology, Psychological Methods and Data Analysis, or Social Psychology.
You will acquire a solid foundation in various fields of Psychology, preparing you for a diverse range of professional fields, including health and social services, mental health, organizational leadership and management, community and public relations, education, program development and facilitation, and social science research.
Typical courses are: Brain and Behavior, Personality Psychology, Academic Skills, Experimental Research Methods, and Professional Ethics.

For the bachelor’s program in Psychology, the selection committee determines whether you can be admitted to the program. After you registered for the Psychology study program in KASTU and your application meets our admissions criteria you will receive a confirmation email in which the selection procedure is further explained as well as the steps you need to take.
You participate in the selection procedure between January 16 and April 14. The following criteria apply to the selection procedure:
A. Average high school grade. Further information follows.
B. A selection assignment consisting of a knowledge test.
C. A selection assignment consisting of a motivation assignment.
The selection assignments B (knowledge test) and C (motivation assignment) will be organized online. Most likely these parts of the selection procedure will take place in the month of March. Obviously, you will receive an invitation as well as further instructions for the selection procedure timely.
Psychologists work in mental health care, in institutions for children with developmental disabilities, in educational consultancies, or as medical psychologists in hospitals.
As a psychologist you can also work as a consultant at organization consultancies, or as a market researcher, personnel manager, policy officer, or communications expert within government and industry. In other words, psychologists work wherever the focus of attention is on people or human behavior.
Subsequent Master’s in Psychology
After obtaining your Bachelor's degree in Psychology, you can continue towards a subsequent Master’s degree. Your options are the following.
