New Media Design
In the international Bachelor’s track in New Media Design you research the design proces of new media applications and learn how academic research can be used to study the factors that increase the impact of new media. With your knowledge you are the bridge between designers, (software) developers and consumers, in order to jointly think of and design impactful new media. Central themes within this process are ensuring an optimal user experience and achieving the desired result (for example: behavioral change, education or entertainment).

Digital media have become a stable factor and support in our work, health, studies, travels, amusement and other daily activities. New media can have a positive effect on the lives of people, if designed in the right way.

New Media Design is an international track within the Bachelor’s program in Communication- and Information Sciences. The program is fully taught in English and therefore you will be part of an international classroom.

Foundations in New Media Design
The introduction of a new medium in society can influence the ways in which people communicate, consume media and design media content. In this course you will learn about themes that apply to this, such as interactivity, storytelling, gamification, virtual reality, cross-media and personalization.Human Centered Design
User-friendliness is important in the development of new media (applications). The aim is to generate positive emotions through product interactions. Consumers want products that are both meaningful and enjoyable and that allow them to achieve a certain goal. Therefore, you will learn all about the role of human decision making in the design process and the methods and frameworks that apply to this.
- Wypis ocen – jeśli wciąż się uczysz i dlatego nie masz jeszcze świadectwa ukończenia szkoły średniej, bardzo ważne jest załączenie wypisu. Szczegółowe informacje na temat sposobu wypełniania tego dokumentu oraz termin jego przesłania znajdziesz tutaj.
- Świadectwo dojrzałości i świadectwo ukończenia liceum – jeśli wciąż się uczysz w liceum, te dokumenty prześlesz uczelni dopiero wtedy, kiedy już je uzyskasz.

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
- IELTS - 6.0 (i nie mniej niż 5.5 z każdej z części)
- TOEFL – 80
Uwaga: niektóre kierunki na tej uczelni mają jeszcze wymagania dotyczące wyników poszczególnych części egzaminów językowych - jeśli nie masz pewności czy Twój wynik jest wystarczający na tą uczelnię, skontaktuj się z nami - napisz na który kierunek chcesz aplikować i załącz skan swojego certyfikatu.
Każdy, kto nie ukończył jeszcze szkoły (nie posiada świadectwa ukończenia szkoły średniej), musi dołączyć dokument wskazujący, jakie egzaminy maturalne planuje zdawać. Dokument ten musi zostać zatwierdzony przez administrację szkoły. Formularz dotyczący egzaminu maturalnego można znaleźć tutaj:

You will be trained for a field that is developing rapidly. Technological developments go in such a rapid pace, that there is a great demand for professionals who can successfully interpret this landscape in which people increasingly interact with various media applications.
You can, for example, become a: User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, New Media Consultant or Advisor, (Creative) Content Designer, Digital Innovations Consultant or Concept Designer/Developer.
