I have always been fascinated by diversity, international environments, and the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world.
This was not my first experience of studying abroad, so I already knew that I wanted to complete my Bachelor’s degree in another country as well.
Choosing the Netherlands was an easy decision. Dutch universities have extensive experience offering programmes in English, and the variety of study options made it possible to find a programme that matched my interests.
I was also encouraged by the high level of English spoken throughout the country. Knowing that I would be able to communicate comfortably both at university and in everyday situations made moving abroad feel much less intimidating.

My advice to students considering an international education is to be brave and trust their own abilities. When you have an opportunity to study abroad, it is worth giving yourself the chance to take it.
Studying abroad is much more than attending a university in another country. It is an opportunity to discover who you are when everything familiar is left behind.
You begin to recognise your strongest qualities, but you also discover areas in which you still need to grow. You learn how to manage responsibilities, solve problems, communicate with different people, and create your own routine.
It is important not to assume that studying abroad will always be easy. The academic workload can be demanding, and combining studies with employment and an active social life requires discipline.
However, with good planning, it is possible to balance your studies, part-time work, friendships, and free time.
The challenges are part of what makes the experience so valuable. They help you become more organised, confident, flexible, and independent.
Be brave, stay open to new people, and trust yourself enough to take the opportunity. Studying abroad may teach you as much about yourself as it does about your chosen subject.
