Studying abroad was not always part of my plan. I only decided to apply to universities abroad about six months before finishing high school. At that time, I wanted to try something new and explore opportunities outside my home country.

I chose the Netherlands because it offers excellent conditions for European Union students and has a strong reputation for practical, high-quality education.

The admission process was much easier than I expected. Dutch universities often focus on finding motivated students rather than setting extremely high academic barriers. Kastu played a very important role in my journey—they supported me throughout the whole application process, answered all my questions, and helped me successfully complete everything I needed.

My study programme is definitely challenging, but it is also very interesting. Every day brings new topics and opportunities to learn. The only disappointing part has been that, because of the global pandemic, we have not always been able to gain as much practical experience with certain equipment and techniques as we normally would. However, I hope that future years will bring more opportunities for hands-on learning.

Looking back, choosing to study abroad has been one of the best decisions I have made.

My advice to anyone thinking about studying abroad is simple:

Don't hesitate—take the opportunity.

You will meet people from all over the world, overcome your fears, improve your language skills, and discover that you are capable of much more than you imagined.
