I first started thinking about studying abroad during my final year of Secondary School, when Kastu visited my school.
At the beginning, I simply wanted to test myself. I completed the application form out of curiosity, without being certain that I would actually leave my home country.
Later, I began researching the available options more seriously and spoke to several people who encouraged me to take the first real step towards studying abroad.
I chose the Netherlands because it seemed like a small, welcoming, and comfortable country. In some ways, it even reminded me of home, which made the idea of moving there feel less intimidating.
Applying to Radboud University was not especially difficult, but I needed to demonstrate that I was genuinely motivated and prepared to study.
Kastu supported me throughout the admission process. They helped organise the necessary documents and explained what needed to be completed. My main responsibility was simply to provide the information and submit everything on time.
This made the application feel much clearer and easier to manage.
Today, I can confidently say that I do not regret my decision. My first months at university made a strong impression on me.
The programme includes plenty of practical learning, the lectures are interesting, and the people are warm and welcoming. The international environment also makes every day more exciting because you are constantly meeting people with different backgrounds and perspectives.
The first two months were enjoyable, but they also required a great deal of independent work.
Studying abroad teaches you that university is not only about attending lectures. You need to organise your own schedule, complete assignments responsibly, and take initiative when you need support.
This responsibility can feel challenging at first, but it quickly makes you more independent and confident.
To students who are still unsure about applying abroad, my advice is not to let fear stop you.
You do not have to know exactly how everything will work before taking the first step. My own journey began with nothing more than curiosity and a simple application form.
Studying abroad is a major opportunity to challenge yourself, gain valuable experience, and meet people from every corner of the world.
Sometimes one small decision is enough to open the door to an entirely new future.
