You may not always realise it, but logistics also plays a role in your life. Just think of ordering your new sneakers, organising a festival or scheduling your hospital appointment. How do you organise this quickly, sustainably and profitably? This requires innovative solutions and international cooperation. Learn how in the Logistics Management programme!
As a logistics manager, you will have to deal with issues, such as how to make sure products are in shops on time? How do you shorten waiting times in a hospital? How do you organise a safe and atmospheric festival? The focus in logistics management is on business economics and cooperation with customers and suppliers. You learn about entrepreneurship, change management and applying innovations in the logistics chain.

In addition to acquiring specialist knowledge, during the programme you will develop all sorts of competencies which you will need later for being able to carry out your work well. You will do this by, amongst other things, working on a project basis on ‘real life assignments’ from the industry. Alongside projects, you will follow lectures, guest lectures and seminars, courses, training and coaching sessions. You will also undertake a number of work placements and participate in excursions and study trips. The entire study programme is very much practice-based.
Specialisations
- Production Logistics. In Production Logistics, you plan and organise the production process. In doing so, you coordinate and monitor planning and quality.
- Care Logistics. In Care Logistics, you optimise the flow of goods (equipment and medications), information (patient records and appointments), and people flows (patients and visitors). For example, due to the aging population, there is an increasing demand for professionals in this field of expertise. At a hospital, for instance, you coordinate the operating theatres, ensure that patients are in the right rooms on time, medications are available, and the required equipment is present on time.
- Distribution Logistics. In Distribution Logistics, you ensure that products are transported from supplier to customer safely, quickly, sustainably, and as cheaply as possible. For example, at companies such as DHL or at the port of Rotterdam, you will learn how to optimise the logistics surrounding the transport of Nike shoes. Distribution managers decided to transport right and left shoes separately to prevent theft and speed up processes.
- Event Logistics. In Event Logistics, you coordinate and optimise logistics processes around events. For example, at a large festival such as Lowlands, you make sure that there are enough toilets, queues are prevented, and traffic is properly regulated.
- Warehousing . In Warehousing, you focus on improving warehouse equipment for efficient storage. For example, IKEA allows customers to walk through the warehouse themselves to find products, which reduces staff and costs. Bol.com, on the other hand, has fully automated systems for packing and shipping orders, focusing on cost savings and efficiency.

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
- IELTS - 6.0 (minimum 6.0 z części speaking)
- TOEFL – 80 (minimum 20 z części speaking)

Obtain a Master's Degree
Breda University of Applied Sciences
Once you have earned your bachelor's degree, you may choose to continue your studies at Breda University of Applied Sciences with the master’s programme Master Supply Chain Management.
Cranfield University
Breda University of Applied Sciences has a cooperation with Cranfield University in Bedfordshire (Cranfield), United Kingdom, which means that Logistic Graduates can do their one-year MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. It is a full-time Master of 11 months. A pre-master course is not necessary.
Other possibilities
To continue your studies for a Master of Science at different Dutch universities after having finished Logistics Management, you have to have done the Pre-master programme Strategic Business Management and Marketing that runs in your 4th year of Breda University of Applied Sciences. Once successfully passed, you can choose one of the following Master's Programmes:
