The degree in Hospitality Management challenges you to develop your talents and learn to be agile in a fast-paced and rapidly changing world. Right from the start, you learn essential skills on the job so that they become part of your nature. As well as developing your understanding of essential subjects such as marketing, finance, law and human resources, you'll develop your insights into the importance of sustainability, corporate responsibility and global citizenship.

When empathy and a service-minded attitude come naturally to you, and you enjoy meeting people from all over the world, then the Hospitality Management programme at Hotel Management School Leeuwarden at NHL Stenden is perfect for you. In turn, we offer an open and welcoming environment: hostmanship at its best.

This management course at Hotel Management School Leeuwarden prepares you for the rapidly changing environment of the hospitality industry. You develop your skills and knowledge of hospitality, gastronomy, catering, events, human resources, marketing, sales and finance. You also work in our own four-star hotel Notiz and in our on-campus restaurants and eateries. This gives you the chance to not only experience how hospitality works in practice and explore different catering concepts, but also learn how to think strategically at a management level and how to carry out research. The diversity of the programme means you’ll experience everything from lectures in the theory of business management to tasting the most delicious wines in a wine class. As this is an international study, the language of instruction is English and your fellow students come from all over the world.

Kastu feedback about the program after the visit

  • NHL has super great NOTIZ Hotel (4*) ran by students.
